15th April 2006 Heading for Doha over the weekend of April 20th - 22nd for the trick event only are World Champion Mandy Nightingale (USA), the World Overall Record Holder Clementine Lucine (FRA), Australian sensation Michale Briant, Greek World Jump Champion Ageliki Andriopoulou and that great "overaller" from the USA, Rhoni Barton.

Nightingale has held the number one Elite ranking spot every year since 2003. However, the new kids on the block could rock the boat this year. Watch out for those youngsters Michale Briant (AUS), Danyelle Bennett (USA) and Whitney McClintock (CAN). Both Briant and Bennett will be there with the big guns in Qatar for the first Stop of the 2006 World Cup. Andriopoulou is also on a roll in shooting up from 9th Rank last year to 5th at this point. Her Gold Medal in Jump in the World Championships will no doubt give the confidence a great boost.

The Men tricks line-up for the World Cup is also sensational. In the latest IWSF Rankings, nine of the top 10 athletes in the world will compete. Leading the way will be the current World Record holder, Nicolas Le Forestier (FRA). His domination of the Rankings in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 may well continue.

Watch out also for Belarus Shortboarder Aliaksei Zharnasek who has moved from number five slot to number three in the past year. His time spent training with Jack Travers in Florida is paying off. The other hot contenders are USA athletes Russell Gay and Jimmy Siemers. Although a little accident prone, Siemers is a natural talent and has made huge IWSF Ranking progress with his move from 11th to 4th in just one year.
