During the spring of 2000 Connelly introduced the new 2001 F1 Slalom to the
top skiers around the world.
The success of the totally new computer-aided
designed ski was just short of phenomenal with many top pro skiers winning
events and claiming their personal best performances on the new ski.
So,
what is all the hoopla about the F2?

The F2 is from the same exterior mold as the F1, however, the interior foam
core was redone to allow more area in the construction process to use more
fiberglass instead of the stiffer, more expensive carbon used in the F1.
Using more fiberglass in the F2 construction allows the ski to flex more
and be slightly more forgiving than the high speed F1.
This is
particularly beneficial for lighter-weight tournament skiers and expert
recreational athletes who want smoother turns and predictability all day
long.
Besides sharing the same bottom mold the F1 and F2 are now part of a series
of skis with the F3 concept and FX slaloms.
All F series skis from
Connelly have the revolutionary "chameleon" graphic that changes color in
different light.
Connelly dealers like the idea of the F2 skiing characteristics for broader
market appeal, its step down in price from the F1, and the eye-catching
graphics which are unlike any other ski in the dealer showroom.
