For those of you who cornered me at the US Masters Last Saturday regarding the situation in Spain based on an unsubstantiated rumour, you should be all aware that while I had information regarding this situation, I was not in a position to make an official announcement.

This must come from the Bureau of the IWSF and until an official press release is give by the President and/or Secretary General of the IWSF, it shall not be released by any other board member.

Several people were in possession of this information on a need to know basis including sponsors and the chief judge.

There are other options that have been worked on since last friday and if it results in "Giving away the Championships" then it is quite possible that they will return to Spain to avoid hardships to those who have already budgetted their time and money for this event.

I have since contacted Andres Botero and the other members of the IWSF on this matter and can state unequivocably that a solution is at hand.

So, until you receive an official announcement, nothing has changed.
