29th July 2003 The British National Championships.

Terrible conditions, strong wind and rain prevented the expected high standard of skiing from some of the worlds top skiers at the British Nationals.

The only event to benefit from the wind was the jump event, which saw Jason Seels take the title with 66.4m and a PB for Tom Asher in second with 65.0m.

In the slalom event, world ranked number 2, Glenn Campbell opted up from 13 to run 11.25 into the strong wind to take the title with 3 @ 10.75m.

26th July 2003 The British National Championships.

Under way at Thorpe in London UK are the British Nationals. Jason Seels, Jodi Fisher and 2nd in the world slalom rankings Glenn Campbell are among some of the top skiers at the event.

21st July 2003 The Malibu Open from Sacramento.

Big turn around in mens slalom with the old pros saving their best for the finals. Mapple wins with 2 @ 41 off (10.25m) from Wade Cox with 5 @ 39 off (10.75m).

Jaret and Freddy miss out in the jump final allowing Jimmy Siemers to push very close to the record with 233 feet (71.0m) with Jason Seels in second on 224 feet (68.3m).

Almost a clean sweep for Emma Sheers who won the jump final with 172 feet (52.4m), Emma tied with Karen Truelove in the slalom final both with 2 @ 39 off (10.75m). Karen kept her nerve to win the run off.

The trick event saw Regina Jaquess and Nicolas Le Forestier scoring 7820 and 11 020 respectively to take their titles.

20th July 2003 The Malibu Open from Sacramento.

Semi final in the mens jump event on Saturday saw the same 3 on top but with Jason and Freddy just behind Jaret with 230 feet. Jason Seels setting a new British record of 230 feet or 70.1m.

In mens slalom Will Asher continues his recent form and rise to stardom in the world slalom scene leading the field jointly with Chris Parrish, both scoring 2 @ 41 off (10.25m)

19th July 2003 The Malibu Open from Sacramento.

First round of jump saw the top 3 like this Jaret Llewellyn 233 feet (71.0m), Freddy Krueger 232 feet (70.7m) and Jason Seels 225 feet (68.6m)

Ladies top 3 were Emma Sheers 171 feet (52.1m), Jennifer Kaiser 168 feet (51.2m) and Rhoni Barton 164 feet (50.0m)

18th July 2003 The pro waterski season is yet again extended with another event in Chile.

Money has been made available for the 2003 Copa Challenger Cash Prize tournament on November 14 -16. This event is for the overall skiers with $US 3000 available for the top male.


16th July 2003 Nicolas has done it again. Results from Chaugey show Nicolas Le Forestier with a third round score in the trick event of 12 320 points.

15th July 2003 This weekend, starting on Friday, we see the return of The Malibu Open from Sacramento. Last years event ranks as one of the greatest water skiing events of all time.

Everybody was on top form with many records falling including both the mens and ladies jump world records. Freddy Krueger with 233 feet (71.0m) and 186 feet (56.6m) from Elena Milakova. Freddy was not the only one to go over 230, Jesper Cassoe also set a 232 (70.7m) to set the current European jump record.

In the mens slalom Mapple won with 3 @ 10.25m from Chris Parrish.

Stay tuned to see who will break the records this year and take home the money.


11th July 2003 Teamtigé member Jamie Beauchesne tied the World Slalom Record July 5, 2003 with 1 at 43 off at the Charleston Forth of July Record Trophy Lakes Tournament in South Carolina.

7th July 2003 The Trophy Lakes rumours are FACT!!

Jamie Beauchesne did run 10.25m (41 off) and then score one buoy at 9.75 (43 off) to match the world record of Jeff and Andy. Chris Parish and Jeff Rodgers both put in a best score of 4 @ 10.25 for second and third.
Karen Truelove won the ladies slalom scoring a massive 5 @ 10.75m (39 off)

It always amazes me that whenever we get some great scores from an event there are certain people who straight away are looking for the reason how these great scores have been achieved. Questioning the event officials or the event organisation.

Another example is Glenn Campbell! Glenn and his family are friends of mine and I know how hard he works, so he deserves second spot in the rankings list.

We are all waterskiers and know how hard it is to achieve these performances, so we should be heaping praise on them all instead of criticising everything and everyone.


6th July 2003 Lacanuu and the French Masters.

Jason Seels takes the jump title and in slalom Nathalie Hamrick maintains her current form with 1.5 @ 10.75m and Glenn Campbell, Drew Ross and Will Asher battle it out in the mens slalom.

5th July 2003 Saturdays Ski Scape summer record slalom event saw Steve Cockeram take the top spot with a best score of 2 @ 10.25m with Doug Ross in second with 1 @ 10.25m.

3rd July 2003 The hot action in Europe continues this weekend (5-6 July) at Lacanuu for the French Masters.

Last year we saw 67.2m from Scot Ellis to win the mens jump final and Drew Ross win the slalom event with Glenn Campbell in second, half a buoy behind. Glenn will want to make a point this weekend of showing all the critics how accurate the rankings list is!


2nd July 2003 International Linz Trophy 2003 for this year will be held on August 2nd and 3rd at the Motor-Yacht-Club Nibelungen. Click here for Tournament Information and here for the Entry Form

1st July 2003 Recetto Record Slalom over the weekend with Irene Reinstaller top of the ladies with a best score of 4.5 @ 11.25m and second Elisabetta Galli and third, Nicole Arthur the only non Italian on the podium.

Fabrizio Ciapponi and Matteo Ianni both scored 4 @ 10.75m but Fabrizio won the mens event with a second score of 4 @ 10.75m Click here for full results.
