2005 World Cup Dubna Russia

The day started off with a slight cross wind with bright sunlight here in Dubna, Russia. By the mens jump final it was a strong gusty wind right in the face of the jumpers.
Ladies slalom winner is Natalie Hamrick with 3.50 @ 11.25m
Mens slalom winner is Jamie Beauchesne with 1.50 @ 10.25m and 4 others tie for second place.
Nic le Foriester comes back from a 4th place prelim to take the trick title with 11 960 points and Mandy Nightingale does the same to score 8190
June Fladborg wins the ladies jump event with 48.2m
Jaret Llewellyn wins the jump in a nail biter with 66.3m from Freddy Krueger with 65.0m

Flat calm water with bright sunlight and no wind, that's how the day started off here in Dubna, Russia.
Clementine Lucine set the best score for the ladies with 4.00 @ 11.25m from Natalie Hamrick who was only half a buoy behind.
In the mens event Glenn Campbell held the lead for some time with4.00 @ 10.75m until the very last skier, Jamie Beauchesne.
Trick leaders are Aliaksea Zharnasek 11 080 and Clementine Lucine with 7760.
Jump saw Clemtine again take the lead with 48.3m and Freddy with 65.6m, now its all set now for tomorrow's finals.

2005 World Cup Dubna Russia, Near Moscow this weekend we have the first three event stop of the world Cup for 2005. Last years event saw the biggest crowds of modern day waterskiing.
With all the top skiers in great early season form, this event is set to be a right thriller.

Kaiafas International Cup 2005
Will Asher takes the mens Head to Head after Chris Parrish and Jamie Beauchesne set the highest score of the 3 rounds with 3.00 @ 10.25m.
In the ladies event Karen Truelove came out top in both events, beating Natalie Hamrick in the Head to Head and scoring 3.00 @ 10.75m in the main event.

Under 21 World Championships
The USA girls dominate the whole event and end up with all the medals for the overall. Regina Jaquess - Gold, Tarah Benzel - Silver, Danyelle Bennett - Bronze. Regina also carried off all the individual medals too.
In the boys event Canadian Jason Mc Clintock took the Gold with Felipe Miranda and Adam Sedlmajer Silver and Bronze.
Another Canadian stunning the crowd was Kole Magnowski with 58.2m to secure the jump gold.
As expected the gold in tricks went to Jason with 9470 points.
Slalom honors went to the two American boys Ian Trapp and Billy Susi with 1.50 and 1.00 @ 10.75m. Best score of the event went to Matteo Ianni in the prelims with 3.00 @ 10.75m

Kaiafas International Cup 2005 Three round slalom tournament plus a Head to Head competition counting for Elite Ranking Points with a cash prize total of 25,000 USD and is part of WWSP 2005 event series.

The Under 21 World Championships starts in Feldberg, Germany today until July 17. This event always attracts attention as we get an insight into the new chalengers rising up.

Just got wind of some interesting results from the North West CanAm Record event.
Mark Lane in the second round of jump set a distance of 70.0m (230ft) joining the elite who have reached the 70m mark.
Kyle Eade had a go at the overall with some tidy scores 2.00 @ 10.75m 7030 points and 63.2m. |

Nicolas Le Forestier is still on a roll with a score of 12 370 points at the Trophée International de Losne-Chaugey trick event in France.
Another pending world record for Nic beating his current record by 50 points that was also set at this same event two years ago. Must have more grip on the water here.
This brings the new or pending world Records set this year to an amazing nine by three people, Freddy Krueger Chris Parrish and Nic.

US Team Trials. Second round completed with the best scores as follows.
Russell Gay improved over his first round score with 10 860 points and Regina Jaques also went bigger in tricks and jump scoring 8490 and 50.7m (166ft)
Freddy Kruegers best jump came in round two with 72.1m (237ft)

US Team Trials. First round completed with the best scores as follows.
In slalom Jamie Beauchesne with 4.00 @ 10.25m and Karen Truelove scoring 2.25 @ 10.75m
The tricks saw Mandy Nightingale and Jimmy Siemers clear leaders with 8080 and 11 000 points.
Freddy Krueger is on the top spot with another massive leap of 69.4m (228ft) and Brandi Hunt with 49.0m (161ft)
You may be thinking, where is Chris and Regina, well Chris Parrish is currently lying second in slalom and Regina Jaquess 2nd in slalom, 3rd in tricks and 2nd in jump.

Major events this weekend causing a split for the pro skiers. Most of the US skiers will stay at home for the US Team Trials from Seffner.
Europe will host the Amberg International CASIO Open from Germany attracting the jumpers.

French Masters from Lacanau - FINALS
Natalie Hamrick holds onto her first round lead to score 1.00 @ 10.75m from Sarah Green by half a buoy.
In mens tricks Nicolas Le Forestier scores 12 320 points. If that figure sounds familiar, then that's because it is the current world record score set also by Nic. Well done Nic.
Mens slalom saw Will Asher with a return to the top spot scoring 2.00 @ 10.25m in a tie with Matteo Ianni. Will won the run off by half a buoy. Glenn Campbell and Jodi Fisher finish off third and forth place.
In the jump event Angeliki Andriopoulou maintained her first round lead with a best jump of 51.3m (168ft) from June Fladborg 50.9m and Clementine Lucine with 49.5m
Mens final was close with Jason Seels the eventual winner with 67.7m (222ft) from Thomas Fenzl 67.1m and Curtis Sheers 66.1m

Preliminary round results so far see Natalie Hamrick in the ladies slalom leading with 2.00 @ 10.75m from Sarah Green.
In tricks, the leaders are Clementine Lucine 7980 points and Nicolas Le Forestier 11740 points.
Angeliki Andriopoulou currently leads in ladies jump with 50.6m

A selection of pro skiers are up at Daytona today for the Pepsi 500 where they will put on a display event on the infield lake.
Back in February Lake Lloyd saw the pros perform at the Daytona 500 with over 200,000 race fans watching on.
