On a brighter note, here is another performance I thought you would all like to hear about, it impressed me. Jason McClintock skiing at the West Michigan Record event over the weekend put up an outstanding overall score that will certainly make Jaret and Jimmy look.
Slalom 3.25 @ 10.75m, 9470 in tricks and 55.2m in jump!! Those scores would have put Jason very close to the overall final at Swiss in 2003. |

I knew it would not be possible to keep this under wraps. This is what the Milwaukee Journal published today. Seems they spoke to a lot of the pro skiers and everybody from Jeffry Armstrong to andy Mapple.

The 2005 Malibu Open Water Ski Championships. Well does this sound real?? Ed Brazil surveyed the slalom course and it meets the required standard.
During the night buoys 1 3 & 5 are moved into the boat lane by 2 feet and Jim Michaels, first off the dock score 3.00 @ 10.75m (39off)
Then 20 pro skiers watch as buoys 1 3 & 5 slowly move back to their correct position ready for the next skier, this is also captured on the end course video.
This could not possibly happen, you say?? With Jim Michaels currently not listed in the next round, maybe it did and if you didn't know, the lake at Dousman belongs to Dr Michaels.
This is only what I have been told!!! lets hope its a big misunderstanding and every thing turns out OK.

The 2005 Malibu Open Water Ski Championships got off to a shaky start, but I will not go into that until it is confirmed for certain.
Only thing I can say is the long awaited event that saw Jim Michaels on the same water as all the pros appears to be a big event? Scores for the slalom on day one are Karen Truelove leading with 0.50 @ 10.75m (39off) from Emma Sheers with 5.00 @ 11.25m (38off)
In mens slalom the leader is Chris Parrish rounding 2.00 @ 10.25m (41off) with Jaime Beauchesne one buoy behind.
These were the only 2 to run 10.75m with Marcus Brown third and just about all the rest with 4.00 and 3.50 @ 10.75m
Jim Michaels did score 3.00 @ 10.75m but as of now he does not feature in the score. |
