The International Qualifying Event in Amberg saw further records fall in Jesper Cassoe from Denmark
with 66.4m, 30 cm beyond the current European jump record of Steffen Wild.

The Mastercraft British Tour from Castle, 65.0m for Jason Seels and a new British trick record with
a score of 9490 points. full results

The US Open saw another round winner in Jamie Beauchesne scoring 3@10.25 just beating Wade Cox with 1@10.25.
Andy Mapple (5@10.75) managed 3rd spot.
Kristi Overton walked the ladies final with 2@10.75 leaving Natalie Hamrick in 2nd only managing 4.5@11.25.
The mens jump final didnt see any further jumps, but Freddy Krueger lead the pack on 68.4m in front of
Jaret Llewellyn (66.9m) and Scot Ellis (65.6m)
$ 25 000 went to Toni Neville in the ladies jump final with 52.8m, a new pending world record. Both Emma
Sheers (52.5m) and Britta Llewellyn (52.4m) put in jumps worthy of the money for 2nd and 3rd.

The Mastercraft British Tour from Castle is graces with the longest jump ever in the UK and the new
pending trick record from Jason Seels.

With all that money available the US Open has everybody skiing to order. Scot Ellis flys very close
to Jarets record with 70.1m (230ft), with Jaret having none of it and pulling off a 69.5m (228ft) himself.
Kristi Overton tops the ladies with 2 @ 10.75m and Chris Parish with 2 @ 10.25 leads Andy Mapple and
Wade Cox on 1 @ 10.25m. All this and Sundays final still to come.

3 big events this weekend, the first is the big money US Open from Sacramento, the second is the
3rd stop of the Mastercraft British Tour from Castle and the Third is the Bavarian International
from Germany.

Detroit brings an end to the US Pro Tour for 3 weeks while we are graced with the IWSF World Cup for
4 Stops. Sacramento sees the first with the US Open next week end on the 24th - 25th June.
Then its into Europe for the French Master July 1st - 2nd at Lacanau, the venue for Jarets current
jump record. An extra stop during the week in Italy at Recatto on July 4th - 5th and then the
Play Station Austrian Masters at Lendorf on 8th - 9th of July.

US Pro Tour from Detroit witnessed another change in the jump event with Scot Ellis taking the final
with 64.9m (213 ft) ahead of Freddy Kruegers 64.2m (211 ft). The slalom final was a close thing with
Andy Mapple, Wade Cox and Jamie Beauchesne all scoring 3 @ 10.75. Mapple held his nerve to win the run
off scoring 2 @ 10.75 to increase his tour points lead to 112 over Chris Parrish. Kristi Overton Johnson
was top of the ladies with 3 @ 11m

Top class skiing from the best of the brits. The second round of the Mastercraft British Tour from
Gosfield Lake saw Jason Seels jump 64.1m and wonder boy Will Asher get 2@10.75m

Again we have action on both sides of the Atlantic with the Pro Waterski Tour from Detroit and the
Mastercraft British Tour from Gosfield Lakes in Essex UK. Those of you in the UK, make sure you
get along to Gosfield early on Saturday as they have 2 rounds of slalom planned. Come and watch the
British skiers on the 10.75m line!!

Cory Pickos has had his new world record confirmed by IWSF. 11 920 set at the Mother's Day
tournament in Mulberry Florida is the new world trick record.

Water Ski World goes from strength to strength. Just a quick note to say thanks to all our visitors,
during April the site hit the 1500 visitors per month mark. Our stats for May show that we are now
receiving over 2000 visitors per month, thanks again.

US Pro Tour Final results just in. A return to form for Ryan Fitts putting in a winning 67.1m (220ft) ahead
of Freddy Krueger with 65.5m (215ft). Mapple stamping his mark again 4 @ 10.75 (39 off) in front of the
Hartford crowd with Jamie Beauchesne and Chris Parrish both on 2.5 @ 10.75. Emma Sheers almost takes the
double with a second place slalom score of 3.25 @ 11m (38 off) behind Kristi Overton with 4.5 and
her winning jump of 48.8m (160ft) just 2 ft more than Toni Neville.

This weekend sees action on both side of the Atlantic with the US Pro Tour stop at Hartford and
now the suns in the UK, The MasterCraft British Tour.
This year the MasterCraft British Tour
has 4 stops, this weekend it starts off at Tallington Lakes. The other site are at Gosfield Lake,
Castle and John Battleday Water Ski at Reading.
This tour will see the return of the top British
skiers including US Masters overall Champion Sarah Gatty-Saunt, 4th place overall at the World
Championships Jason Seels and our top slalom skiers Jodi Fisher, Glen Campbell and Matt Southam.
5th June 2000
US Pro Water Ski Tour in Oklahoma City. Low scoring by the regulars allows Jimmy Siemers to lift the
jump title with 60m (197 ft), Freddy and Curtis followed with a few feet less. Slalom saw a return to
the top for Carl Roberge scoring 3 buoys on the 10.75m line (39'off). Mapple did enough to retain his
tour lead with half a buoy less. Full results and write up on the Pro Tour site.

US Pro Water Ski Tour in Oklahoma City. Sundays finalists so far include the youngster Jimmy Siemers
leading the mens jump with 61.7m (202 ft) followed by Jaret with 61.1m (200ft) and the remainder of
the regulars with jumps all under 200ft.
Ben Favret is top of the slalom qualifiers with 3 @ 10.75m, close behind are Britians Andy Mapple
with 2.5 @ 10.75 and Kris LaPoint 2 @ 10.75.
