May brings us the start of the big events starting this weekend with The MasterCraft Pro Waterski Championships, this has
kind of replaced the Pro Tour from last year with a single event.
Charleston, South Carolina will obviously attract all the top skiers with a massive $175,000 on offer, plus an additional
$100,000 record-breaking bonus available to be divided by any skiers breaking a world record.
As usual we will bring you updates throughout the weekend.

Sundays Tri Lakes Rating Challenge at Zachary saw the shape of things to come from Jimmy Siemers with 1@11.25m in slalom,
a 10,180 trick score and a tidy jump of 64.1m (210 ft)

The Australian National at Mulwala Water Ski Club produces some quality performances with Ryan Green taking the mens overall
ahead of Joel Wing.
Curtis Sheers winning the jump, his longest jump 64.3m. Karina Nowlan took the ladies title just ahead of Karen Jackson.

Another event just been confirmed, the French Masters over the week end of July 5 - 7 2002 and where else could this event be, but at
Lacanau.

Kept under wraps until now, the US Dollar 30,000 cash prize jump tournament for men and women will be held in Jilin City,
Jilin Province, China. The event will take place over the week of June 26-30 2002. Prize money like that will give the
first prizes of about US Dollar 5,000. More details soon as they come in.

Just put the tournament event dates on line, its been a bit difficult this year with not many of the major event confirmed yet.
There is talk of a major Masters type event in the UK, but still no news from the usual stops in Europe.
Last year it was too much work keeping up with all the different disciplines, so this year we are going to concentrate on the 3 event
tournament side of things as far as event listings go, but we will still bring you results and updates where possible.
Don't forget that registration for the virtual Jump and Slalom Leagues will have to close at the end of the month. Not too many
of you skiers have entered yet, surely you can do better than Jarets team???

2002 Australand Moomba Masters. Good to see top scores at the start of the season from the top skiers at the Moomba Masters.
Mapple continues his success taking the mens slalom convincingly with 2 @ 10.25.
Chris Parrish with 3 1/2 @ 10.75 took second place ahead of Steve Cockeram. Click on the Moomba logo below to see all the results.

The IWSF EAME Coaching Commission have announced the venue for the first Coaches Seminar.
This will take place in Cairo from 19 - 21 April with the seminar at the Egyptian Water Ski Federation offices and the
official hotel the NILE GARDEN HOTEL.
