2001 Pubmart Bridge to Bridge Water Ski Classic Cancelled At a meeting held by the NSW Water Ski Association a decision was made to cancel the 2001 Pubmart Bridge To Bridge Water Ski Classic. This decision was made as there is currently no appropriate insurance cover available for competitors. As at this date, the Association has not been successful in negotiating the necessary insurance cover, at a rate considered affordable for it's members, therefore making it impossible to conduct the race that was to be held on 2nd December. The Association has made every effort to obtain the necessary insurance cover, however we simply ran out of time to be able to stage this years event. Mr Bruce McCahon, the Executive Officer of the NSW Water Ski Association is disappointed by the outcome. "It is with great regret that the NSW Water Ski Association has had to make this drastic decision to cancel this prestigious international event, which has been held every year for the last forty years", says Mr McCahon.
