Water Ski Pros Inc.
Water skiing has grown to such a degree that it is time for its athlete’s world wide to join a new organization, WaterskiPros, created for the advancement and expansion of water skiing.
50 million people around the world water ski. It is a family oriented, outdoor sport that occurs at beautiful lakeside settings. Fans can enjoy the grace and excitement of competition while viewing the latest top of the line ski boat performance and watersport lifestyle.
“ Waterskipros is a non-profit corporation founded by a group of skiers and non-skiers to promote and grow the sport of water skiing and
will focus on representing three-event skiing, men and women national and international,”
said Andy Mapple, Executive Director of the non-profit WaterskiPros, Inc.
“Our mission is to promote, market, and provide information about water skiing events along with assisting existing water skiing
organizations.”
“WSP has worked behind the scenes to eliminate calendar conflicts with Pro Tour stops. We will not be in competition with existing organizations but will support and them.”
WSP’s goals are to increase prize money, standardize competition rules and judging, create sponsorship opportunities both inside and outside the industry, and develop a TV presence to increase pubic exposure. It will assist and encourage grass roost programs and water skiing clinics.
Mapple, a twenty-year professional skier himself and winner of over 160 pro victories worldwide, invites all water skiers and interested parties to meet on April 30th, 2004 at 6pm Buena Vista Suites, Orlando. After this meeting, membership will be offered to any interested person, with no dues for athletes. A website and staffed office will be initiated in Orlando. A booth is planned for all pro stops offering WaterskiPros merchandise and information.
Any company or persons interested in the promotion of water skiing are encouraged to participate as members. There will be different membership levels available. Together, water skiing can be elevated to its rightful place among other sports. Come be a part of the future.
