Andy Mapple matches his world slalom record scoring 1 buoy on the 9.75m line length (43 off) to continue
his world dominance. A familiar story with Kristi Overton Johnson winning ladies slalom
scoring 5@10.75m (39 off). Improvements in ski flying distance with Scot Ellis jumping 87.8m (288 ft)

The Water Ski Magazine America's Cup. Friday
First and second round winners of the mens ski flying, Scot Ellis with 84.2m (276ft) and
Jaret Llewellyn with 86.7m (285ft). Toni Neville increased her distance on Friday flying 66.4m (219ft).
Slalom performances were good with Kristi Overton Johnson scoring 3@10.75m (39 off) and Andy Mapple
improving after his first round to take the lead with 5@10.25m (41off).

The Water Ski Magazine America's Cup is under way this week end from Okeeheelee Park in Florida
where the girls have already broken 200 in Womens ski flying. Toni Neville leads with 63.8m
(209ft) with Emma Sheers just missing the 200 with 60.7m (199ft)

The IWSF have released the minutes from the Tournament Council Meeting held during the Junior
Worlds in Agrinio, interesting reading. Revert back to the old slalom gate rule and extra flips

Sherri Slone and Jennifer Leachman have been nominated for the Sporting Goods Manufacturers
Association (SGMA) HEROES Award for their dedication to facilitating "learn to clinics"
throughout the nation on water skiing, wake boarding, boating, trailering, and wind surfing
through their efforts with the World of Women's Sports (WOW Sports) Foundation.

The World Wakeboard championships 2000. Neither Dan Nott GBR or Wayne Mawer AUS could improve on
their prelimanary round scores allowing Cobe Mikacich from USA to maintain the lead and become the
2000 World Wakeboard Champion scoring 53.33 points.
Dan Nott dropped to 9th place in the final
allowing Matt Dance to sneek into 3rd place. View the full results.

The World Wakeboard championships 2000. In the junior section Samantha Knott from Great Britian and
Dome Narita from Japan become the girls and boys champions.
In the Open Ladies Mero Narita from Japan is
the world champion ahead of Marie Botved-Studd from Denmark and Jo Robertson from Austrailia.
The Mens final is scheduled for this afternoon.

The World Wakeboard championships 2000. After the first round Cobe Mikacich from USA lead with
60.00 points ahead of Dan Nott GBR and Wayne Mawer AUS.

The World Wakeboard championships 2000 from La Grande Motte start today in the south of France
near Montpellier.

Regina Jaquess takes the girls overall at the World Junior Tournament Championships by winning all 3 events.
Other outstanding performances included Ryan Dodd from Canada finishing top in jump with 50.7m and 2nd
in tricks with 7680 and Carlo Allais from Italy scoring 2 @ 11.25m in slalom. In the overall
team event, Gold goes to USA ahead of France and Canada.
